I don’t need to say much other than I now have three of these little reels loaded with 6-12lbs braid, I have to say I can’t fault them they’re just great!! I’ll be getting some larger ones in time for the pike season….

Only used the rod twice, but it handles really well, I’ve been fishing the K & A canal doing a mix of overhead & under arm casts using jig or cheb weights as low as 0.8g, teamed with a 1000 size reel with 9lbs braid it’s great. It’s handled some nice perch & a pike so far, nothing huge of course, but really like it & enjoy using it. The finish is really good, so all in all a great little rod.

I just love this bag, plenty of room for three lure boxes, with additional space for fluorocarbon & wire trace spools, has the additional benefit of taking my Yeti cup so hot tea for at least 6 hours. I take two rods so having the rod holder works perfectly for my second rod when I’m walking & fishing!!

I still have my Abu Atlantic 464 from the 70's which has the straight black butt with coasters. I always struggled with these and fashioned my own clamp to secure the reel. I've started fishing again and wanted a neater solution as I generally use fixed spool reels. I found this sliding reel seat whilst browsing online.
What a difference! It matches the rod, is easily adjustable and secures the reel at any point on the butt that I choose.
