If you've been waiting for a headlamp that genuinely does it all — whether you're on the bank at 3am, scrambling up a hillside, or grafting on a job site — the wait is almost over. The Fenix HM65R V2.0 NITERAY is here, and it's a UK-exclusive edition developed by us, to our own specification, in partnership with Fenix.
This isn't just an upgrade. It's a complete evolution.
The original HM65R earned a loyal following among anglers, hikers, and professionals for its rugged build and reliable performance. The V2.0 NITERAY takes that proven platform and pushes it further — more light levels, more control, and the addition of Fenix's excellent SPORT click-adjustable headband as standard.
We worked directly with the factory to add output options you won't find on the standard HM65R V2, including a 350-lumen spotlight, a 50-lumen floodlight, and additional red light settings at 3 and 85 lumens. We also tuned in a dedicated 14-hour Work Mode — a 150-lumen floodlight combined with a 25-lumen spotlight — ideal for extended sessions where you need practical, comfortable light without blinding yourself or your fishing partner.
For anglers, the NITERAY ticks every box. The red light modes — particularly the 3-lumen stealth setting — are perfect for preserving night vision and avoiding disturbing fish or fellow anglers. The SPORT headband provides a secure, comfortable fit during long sessions, and the built-in emergency whistle is a genuinely useful safety feature for solo night fishing.
The electronic brightness memory means your spotlight and floodlight remember your last settings — no fumbling through modes in the dark when a fish takes.
The NITERAY's magnesium construction and IP68 rating make it equally at home on trail runs, in the hills, or on a job site. The dual top switches give independent control of the spotlight and floodlight, and a double-click on the left switch gives direct access to red light modes. Physical and electronic lockout prevent accidental activation in your bag or pocket.
At £114.95 with a 5-year UK warranty and an included Fenix ARB-L18-3400mAh 18650 battery, the NITERAY represents serious value for a headlamp at this performance level.
