Refund policy

Returns
If not satisfied with the goods you have received please contact us at info@shutupandfish.co.uk within 30 days of receipt to obtain a returns number. Please include your order number, payment information and contact information. Please be as clear as possible as to the reason for your return and the action you would like us to take. The item should be packed in its original packing to ensure it reaches us safely, as the returned goods are your responsibility until they are received by us. (we are unable to accept any responsibility for any goods lost in transport). We would recommend you ask for proof of postage, a free service offered by the Post Office, which will enable you to claim in the unlikely event that the returned goods do not reach us.

Refunds for the purchase price (not including P&P) will be made for products returned in perfect condition and in their original packing. Shut Up And Fish Ltd will however pay the postage for any goods that have been returned due to our error.

Faulty Product returns

In the unlikely event your goods arrive with a manufacturing defect, or are inherently faulty, please return the goods to us. in their original packing, within 28 days of receiving them. We will be happy to process an exchange (where possible).

Incorrect/faulty goods must be returned to us before replacements are sent out. Please contact us and we will advise and supply a returns label.

Faults developed within the warranty period

Most items sold by Shut Up And Fish Limited come with a 6 - 12 month manufacturer's warranty. If a product develops a fault within the warranty period we will provide assistance in contacting the manufacturer of the product ordered. The manufacturer will normally offer spares or a repair depending on the type of product purchased. If an item has broken in normal use and it is within its warranty period, it must be returned to us a long with a cover note with your order number, name, address and contact details along with a note explaining the circumstances of the damage. Generally items must be inspected by a manufacturer's representative before any replacements can be issued. Wear and tear is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Please note a handling charge to cover post and packing may apply.

Incorrect Item Received

If the item we have sent you is incorrect or different to that stated on your invoice, please accept our apologises and return the item to us within 14 days. We will, in these circumstances, be happy to process an exchange (where possible) or refund. We will try to process your return as quickly as possible but please allow up to 10 days for your return to be processed after arriving with us. Refunds may take up to 14 days to clear. In the unlikely event that we should discover that your exchange or replacement item is out of stock we will inform you by e-mail.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)
Book with obvious signs of use
CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened
Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
