Purchased the 15-40g version of this ultra compact travel rod for a recent trip to Cuba,mainly for light shore fishing. Quality is excellent,the rod is extremely lightweight and compact enough (44cm closed length) to fit into a suitcase. The action was perfect for the intended use,even managed to cast Savage Gear Line Thru Sandeels in the 19g size a good 50-60 yards easily. The rod is deceptively strong,it handled everything I threw at it with ease,it never creaked once and even landed a 3lb lump of wood I snagged on in a lagoon.
Coupled with a Penn Battle II in 3000 size it balanced nicely. Can't wait to try it out again in Aruba next year or maybe even canal piking here in the uk! For the price I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this rod and the speedy service from Shut Up & Fish.
