With the increased popularity of mullet fishing, we went to the drawing board to create a rod that was not only designed to catch mullet but to be an all-round fun fishing rod too. Don’t limit yourself to mullet; this rod is an excellent tool for catching flounders and other close-range species in estuaries, harbours and on calm days down the beach. The Banzai Mullet comes as a three-piece rod measuring 3.6m, with two main sections, a carrier section and three tips, a 2, 3 and a 4oz. Each tip can be used specifically to the situation you’re fishing; whether you are casting only a few yards or need to put a heavier feeder or ledger a long way, this rod has you covered. A progressive action throughout the blank especially helps when playing mullet, giving you the confidence that the chances of a hook pull are significantly reduced.
